Doha Urban Pipeline Relocation
- Detailed engineering and procurement of long lead items
- The development of Doha city is constrained by existing Gas Distribution System pipelines owned and operated by Qatar Petroleum
- Re-route a portion of multi product pipeline and hook it up with the existing pipeline without disruption of flow by hot tapping
- Improve the availability of gas to the receiving stations around Doha by 36" pipelines of 84 km and 8" pipeline of 3 km, and 12" pipeline of 12 km
- Microtunnelling of 5 road crossings in hard rock
- Very stringent safety, quality and environmental standards
- Modifications of existing 5 stations
- Upgrading the existing and installation of new telecom network including design of fiber optic communication network
- De-commission and abandon the existing gas and oil lines of approx 140 km and 6 stations in a safe and environment friendly manner
- Project completed in December 2010
